As for real estate to pitch it, that would depend on the area you are going to hunt. The Silex is a great shelter.

I really like it and feel it is an improvement in shelter over the Seek Outside DST tarp that i used before it (and 40 years of various floored bp tent) i rarely have need for a two man shelter so if I were to do it again I’d go with the Silex. Seek Outside, Grand Junction, Colorado.
Took the Silex on a 2 night bear hunt in the coastal mountains in BC. I knew the weather was going to be rough but the season just started so I was going no matter what. Hiked about a mile in, straight up, which was way easier with the Silex being so light. Setup the tent in a few minutes in the pouring rain.
